Situated by the lake and just a short walk from Ameristar Casino East Chicago and Lake Michigan, this beach hotel provides easy access to recreational activities like the 24-hour fitness center and sportsbook. Guests have praised the clean and well-furnished rooms but noted occasional noise in the evenings.
I love that this casino has not gotten rid of the old machines and replaced with all new! It's awesome to go there and know that all around the walls they have kept all the great old aristocrat machines! They fill the floor with all the very newest games which is exciting too. They have new machines that even the newer Hard Rock doesn't have yet! But the fact that they don't get rid of the old favorites is amazing!!!! It's further away from me than many other casinos but I still go there just for that exact reason! Thank you Ameristar for keeping nostalgia real and playable!!! I ❤️

We stayed three nights after Christmas, and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are large and well kept. The service at the front desk, the restaurants and bars was exceptional. Shout out to Noel (from your Nebraska visitors), the bartender in the high limit area. She was so friendly and kind and really created a nice vibe at this bar. Five stars to her! The burgers at Burger Bros were amazing. The Asian food at the Red Lotus was great. The Starbucks machine in the lobby was greatly appreciated and so good. Overall, a great stay.

Great big room! The bathroom you can live in then it has a separate toilet room! Yes it was quiet but they have smoking rooms so it is smelly in the hall. Nice helpful fun people working at the counter. View not so good since you stare at trains and the mills, but it was very nicely priced.

This weekend was fantastic the room was beautiful the casino was beautiful and the people were great. However, we ended up getting charged three times for our rooms which flag dot account and lock this out of our bank account along with spent all of our funds that we had for the last two nights. Ameristar chose to do absolutely nothing about it and it was clearly there mistake and put us on the street for the last 2 nights. Oh did I mention that this was the weekend that I proposed? Yeah that's what they did for us. Absolutely nothing. I spent $25,000 a year there between betting sports and eating in hotels at the casino and that's what they did not a damn thing! I tip the valet the concierge all of the front desk workers I treat them so well there because they're all great and I made three clerical errors and charged our account three different times and it ruined my proposal week. Oh did I mention they did absolutely nothing about it and threw us out? Think about that before you choose to go to this place.

This casino is kind of in the middle of nowhere BUT I really enjoyed my time here. The customer service was excellent! The food and drinks were excellent! Won a few dollars and headed back to a very clean spacious room. Reasonable prices and worth the stay. The location is my only…complaint.

Enjoyed my time here. I don't gamble so my wallet enjoyed the time also.Spent time with my sister for her birthday dinner here and to watch the Tyson fight. The hotel rooms are gorgeous. The food was delicious. The bar atmosphere was spectacular for the fight. I don't drink but people were happily served. All that's missing is the music entertainers they used to have.

Room surfaces hadn't been wiped down, or at least very well. Shower was completely out of body wash and it was late when we found out because we weren't at the hotel until close to 11 or 12 at night. Front desk was incapable of providing us with any body wash whatsoever.I paid close to $300 for a one-night stay and they couldn't even bother to actually make sure the amenities were stocked for the room I paid for.If you're not here for the casino and just want a decent hotel. Go somewhere else that isn't a casino hotel.
Hunter — Google review
I don't know where to start about how bad this place is now. I'll start with the handicapped parking. The spaces are no bigger than a normal parking space. If you need to get someone out of a car in a wheel chair you've got to stop in the lane of traffic blocking everyone behind you. Next is the smell of weed in the parking lot. Seems like everyone is smoking that before going in. The casino itself is old and outdated. They are trying to remodel it but that's just causing one big mess. Right now the whole top floor is closed. All of the machines I liked to play are gone now. They completely got rid of them. Some places are extremely hot and others are freezing cold. They need to control temp better. The absolute worst part of going there is the cigarette smoke. It's absolute intolerable. It's hard to breathe in there because of all the smoke. We left there drenched in the smell of cigarette smoke. You need to decicate a whole floor for non-smoking guests with the popular games in it. Not like the no smoking section you have now with extremely old games that nobody plays anymore. Until changes are made we will not be going back there.

Most of them were new products that you can't find in supermarkets. The staff were friendly and helped you all the time.My favorite the Freedom gummy bears and the True to fruit ones 🤤 .I really loved this place.Highly recommended 💯

Went here for the first time a couple days ago. Had a great experience. Was a bit disappointed that there no longer is a chocolate fountain. Apparently there used to be one and I was excited to see that. The candy we got was good though. They have pastel mint nonpareils which are a favorite of mine and hard to find now a days! Got a few other things there too!

We have been here before, but of course we had to come again! Great place to go and pick out some candy! We love it here. It’s a good thing a we live a couple hours away. HahaGreat selection and very friendly people!

I'm glad we stopped to check it off my list, but if you've been to one candy store you've been to this one! The candy is good, prices are a bit high, the service just ok, and the crowds are insane. My favorite part was the landscape outside, it was beautiful and went with the season. Other then that our visit was just ok!

What’s more fun than a candy store? A factory candy store with fun theming, good candy and good prices. We drive by this place a few times a year and are happy we finally decided to stop. We love gummy candy and definitely we be back our next time through.

We stopped by here on our road trip completley on a whim, and we are so glad we did. They had a large parking lot and the outlet is really big. It was quite busy when we went, but since the space was so large, it wasn't overwhelming. There were so many staff members ready to help get us any of the goodies behind the glass. We got chocolate covered gummy bears. Worth a try! We also got chocolate covered animal crackers and should have gotten a bigger bag! Delicious. The check out queue moved fast, and had lots of goodies to look at while you waited. The bathrooms were clean and tidy.

A very Beautiful place to visit. It makes you feel like a Kid again with All the skillful designed Trains and the History that goes with it! It also has very nice trails to walk for hiking or just to be out in nature and you can also bring your horse they have horse trails! If you have kids bring them it's is worth the price to get in.💜

This is a beautiful park! It does cost to get in and it IS per person which I think really stinks and needs to change to PAY PER CAR because it can get really pricey just for a park... my husband and I took our kids and they enjoyed it.*note: the train display is outside, avoid going on a hot day because it can become dreadful **

This place is pretty amazing! We walked around the train layout at least 3 times. The trimmed miniature trees and scaled down town were meticulously taken care of. We all wished we were miniature, and that we could live in there! Be sure to ask for the scavenger hunt. We hiked several of the trails. This is a great place for both young and old, and a great family experience!

Just a short drive from Downtown Chesterton, it features diverse ecosystems and habitats to explore through its extensive hiking trails. Visitors can also delve into the area's history at the Chellberg Farm and Bailly Homestead and Cemetery. Additionally, there are opportunities for camping, geocaching, and cross-country skiing.
Overall a good visit for a day trip. Small visitor center but ample parking. We've gone a few times just to enjoy a day at the lake. There are a few trails we hiked which we enjoyed. There is not much in regards to accommodations or amenities in the surrounding area so plan for a day trip and packing a lunch. The dunes themselves was great to see and a fun challenge for us to climb down to the beach.

This park is absolutely beautiful. The beach areas are huge and not crowded at all. The water was bright blue and it was all very clean. I was able to experience everything this park had to offer in a weekend. There’s also camping and hiking trails to hit up. Definitely worth checking out when you’re in the area!

This is a very nice national park. The sand dunes are amazing, and Lake Michigan is beautiful. There are plenty of short trails, and you are able to experience all the different types of landscapes. There are the beaches, or sand dunes, marsh areas, and a prairie trail. There are even cacti on one of the trails. Some of the slopes are steep. It was very beautiful and wasn't too busy at all. There is a $25 fee, and you can totally do the park in a day or two.

This is a hidden gem of a national park. It is a true treasure on Lake Michigan and a beauty that any nature enthusiast will have a hard time overlooking. It is very unique from both a scenery and geologic/formation/ecosystem standpoint, a quality that most national parks possess. It is this very quality - the diversity, uniqueness of each park, and the variation between parks - that catches my eye and makes each one so appealing. I loved my time here: picturesque, majestic, serene, peaceful, relaxing, golden prairie, rolling dunes, lakeshore pines, hardwood forests and bogs. What is not to like about this park? Bring some binoculars if you are interested in bird watching - in the winter after the leaves drop this is one heck of a place to see a plethora of different avian species.
Nolan B — Google review
Beautiful national park with access by train (albeit a 40 min walk to the park). Many trails and beaches to explore and plenty of wildlife. We had a lovely autumn walk along trail 9. Nature centre has lots of exhibits and guides on the nature that can be found along the trails. I recommend picking up a map at the park entrance.

This review covers a Summer visit as well as a Winter. We went on a holiday weekend about 10 am. Memorial day. This is the actual Holiday!!! Monday morning. The River walk. Trash cans heaping over filled everywhere. Not many people around at all because it is Monday morning. But this is where we've lived our entire lives. If your going to call it a National Park and try to encourage people to come... Take care of it accordingly! It's embarrassing. At least the people were trying to use the garbage cans. The walk at west beach is the crown jewel. It is nice but pretty much all of the National Parks my wife and I visit, have more to offer. We did enjoy a hike at Kemil beach last Saturday for the Winter Solstice. It was nice. And apparently has several trails were weren't aware of. We plan to explore this Spring / Summer. These trails are not easy to find on line. The trails were fairly well marked. Better than Capital reef in Utah where were in the desert 98° in October and mistakenly a little off course due to poor trail markings. Not cool in the desert ( pardon the pun) but my wife was becoming dehydrated hands tingling and seeing stars. It could have been bad. I'm only pointing this out as it's a little testimony to the trails being marked in a decent fashion here at Indiana Dunes. I don't seething as an issue in the Spring Summer and Fall but if you were lost here in the winter it could get ugly.

Indiana Dunes National Park is a fantastic destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. My recent visit, which started with camping at the park's well-maintained campground, was nothing short of delightful. The campground itself was great—clean, spacious, and equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Waking up surrounded by nature set the perfect tone for my day in the park. After a hearty breakfast, I headed to the visitor center, which is an excellent starting point. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, providing helpful information about the park's trails and points of interest.I embarked on a few of the recommended hikes, each offering its unique perspective of the park’s diverse landscapes. The trails wind through lush forests, scenic dunes, and alongside the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, showcasing the area’s natural beauty. The variety of ecosystems within the park is impressive, and I appreciated the chance to experience everything from wetlands to sandy beaches. While I had a full day to explore, I couldn’t help but think that spending three days would be ideal for those who want to take their time and fully immerse themselves in the park’s offerings. This would allow for leisurely hikes, time on the beach, and perhaps even some birdwatching or photography.Overall, Indiana Dunes National Park is a wonderful place to unwind and connect with nature. The combination of a great campground, informative visitor center, and diverse hiking opportunities makes it a must-visit destination. I left feeling rejuvenated and eager to return for a longer stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the beauty of the Indiana Dunes!

Fantastic scenery along the shore of Lake Michigan. Neat history behind the efforts to protect this land from industry and pollution, which would have inevitably destroyed it, and its beauty would have been lost forever. This park is a gem in Indiana!

Their is a picnic area beside the park where you can stay. But you need to have a reservation if you want to come here. It can be done online. As it is shown in their community board. Otherwise a sheriff will give you a parking fee ticket. Well its not really a paking ticket fee, its a donation, for the village to keep the place clean and running.Went here for a weekend beach day. This place is not too crowded unlike other well known beach and the water is clean and at this time it was at the right temp. They have a barbecue station too and toilets. Love the place.
Manski — Google review
This has to be my favorite state park I have ever been to, ever! The campground is great with electricity and spacious sites, pavilions are very nice and secluded, hiking trails were beautiful and fun, 3DC is a must do, the nature center was so well done and the beach is incredible! So close to Chicago via the South Shore Line allows a mid day Cubs game to fit into a quick trip. I can't wait to come back! The Indiana Dunes sweets and coffee trail was fun too!
Lindsey — Google review
I went here in December - I liked it. Nearly totally vacant and the walks were nice. Several info plaques to learn about the park and a great set of textures. I walked the trail from the main pavilion to the campground - I'd like to do some cold weather camping there.Very cold with the wind from the water, but that doesn't bother with the proper clothing and gear.
H — Google review
It's a nice park. It has a very clean beach, lots of pavilions for picnics, and a decent campground. The downside is that we had to pay additionally to access the park even though we had a camping reservation. Not understanding why that wouldn't be included automatically in the cost of camping since the campsite is inside the park! Also, all of the water is shut off at the beach restrooms, so you can't use the showers or sinks. Lastly, not understanding the logic of bringing sand in to top dress the hiking trails instead of letting it be natural. Makes it extremely difficult to hike on. It's obvious that it was intentionally brought in when there is no sand on either side of the walking trails. Overall, it is a nice park but there are simple things that could be improved to make it a better experience with better decision-making by the park managers.

We love coming here. There's so much to do in the park and in the general 20- or 30-mile radius.Keep an eye on the weather. The beach was always open, but swimming was closed about 50% of the time we were there. That's fine, we don't swim. We're beach combers and campers. We find lots of unique rocks washed up and some cool photo ops.Our favorite time to go is very early and spend about 2 or 3 hours each day walking up and down the shoreline. On the weekends, the public is horrible. Please carry your garbage out with you if the provided cans are full. I can believe this national treasure is treated so poorly by some people.I think the park could probably put someone on garbage duty at different times of the day.Lifeguards are very attentive and do a great job keeping people in line. The pavilion food is VERY expensive for convenience food stored in warmers. I'd suggest bringing your own food and drink.

I went to the park just for one day since I had been in Indiana for almost 7 years but next went to it. I had a great time solo hiking and just relaxing at the beach. There wasn't any people really since I went on a Thursday.

This is an excellent place to celebrate milestones, birthdays, promotions or just meeting friends and family for lunch, brunch, dinner, just wine or dinner. Upon making the reservations I was able to add that it was my sisters birthday. This business didn’t disappoint. My sister doesn’t drink and she was given a birthday mocktail and a birthday celebration slice of cake after our appetizer and lunch. This place is nestled in Michigan City and is definitely a hidden gem. The food was good. The service and the manner in which orders are taken are a lil different than other establishments of its kind. You don’t get a personal waiter/waitress. You are seated upon entry, but are told that you have to go to the bar to purchase your food and drinks. It was kind of odd because I walked up with a menu to order a flight ( which was amazing) and an appetizer. Had to make two trips because I couldn’t carry the menu, flight, my phone and the menu back to the table.I will definitely dine again. I also joined the wine club. Not sure if I will cancel my membership with coopers Hawk.

I love their new setup, I haven't been here since the remodel. They have outdoor seating with a view of their gorgeous green space. The inside has upstairs and downstairs seating. We were unable to sit upstairs due to an event being held there. We set aside the bar enjoyed a great glass of merlot and ordered some spectacular panini sandwiches. I love they have healthy options available to choose from. Their menu is great with a lot of versatility. I loved the grass wall, it's an awesome place for photo ops. They have signs, hats, glasses, etc to take your favorite Instagram photos or Snap Chat. We're going to join the wine club and this will be our regular hangout spot.

Honestly such a weird experience. Nobody seemed happy to work there especially the bartenders. I spent a lot of money playing and won and wanted to celebrate with a drink. I was all alone. I had 2 drinks in a 40 minute time span and then was told I was now cut off. I’m trying to figure out what I did wrong? I wasn’t even talking to anyone or doing anything. I was sitting there minding my own business scrolling on my phone and playing the slot at the bar. I was super nice to wait staff and tipped:( I was staying at the hotel and I realize they didn’t know that but it’s not like I was driving. I honestly don’t know what I did wrong and there was multiple people around me ordering shots and multiple drinks at a time and way more than two. I’ve honestly never been cut off before and am just trying to figure out why. I won’t be returning that’s for sure.

The rooms are very nice, very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Will definitely be going back there. The casino was nice. If you drink, it looks like you have to go to the bar and get your own drinks. They have a place where you can get your own coffee and soda..

It is a nice hotel, clean , restaurants are good .. Copper Rock ,the steakhouse is excellent. However if you are going to gamble it is about the tightest casino you will step foot in ... Bet $5 win $1, that is if you ever see a bonus round ..Payouts are few a far between...Even comps and free play have become low. Whatever they have done most of their regulars come play free play , maybe get a free meal and leave for another casino .. In the past year they have obviously tightened their machines to no pay no bonuses.. Good Luck .

The casino itself is very impressive and well-kept, with a comfortable and lively atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and helpful, making sure we all felt looked after. I was able to play a bit with the voucher they gave me, which was a nice touch. The food was a highlight – delicious, with great options for everyone. Overall, it was a fun experience and perfect for a group outing!

We decided to make an evening of the new year and started off with a terrific dinner at Copper Rock. If you want top notch service ask for George or Ariel, you won’t be disappointed. The New Year’s Eve festivities were OK but we did not go into the grand ballroom for the main event. Rooms are nice, but the furnace kept making loud noises throughout the night and woke us up from time to time. still a very nice place to visit for an evening.

Based on the size and number of large (closed) lakefront parking lots I would guess this place is rather busy in the summer. However, at the end of February - on one of the first warm days of the year, it was like the place was all ours! It was magical!! Getting to bring the fur babies with made it all the more perfect!!

This is a magical piece of nature not to be missed if you are in the area. The sand dunes tower above the beach front and are constantly moving and migrating although it’s not perceived by just observing them. Our Winter visit was peaceful and quiet with few people. The coastline was partially frozen and it added a calmness to the atmosphere. Catch a sunset 🌅 here, you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful, restful park.

Just Wonderful!Park has a wide beach area, water was clear and waves were steady, great for swimming . Dunes were cool to climb but was somehow challenging due to soft sand. You could spend the whole day and it would be worth it!There are few trails and many picnic tables, people were barbecuing and lots of families gathering. Beach was so packed but was fun, probably one of the best parks in MI. Entry ticket was 11 dollars. There are also food trucks in the park, I will visit again ISA

Visited the Dog beach on our vacation. Loved it! Beautiful stretch of beach, quiet, not crowded at all! My dog absolutely loved it and we had a great time there. Would definitely recommend and come back in the future. Only con is there is quite a walk through very soft sand to get where you want to go. Other than that, only pros!

Super fun beach. The dunes are a fun picturesque place to make memories. Come prepared for the hike up then for sure! It takes muscle and willpower and many breaks in-between 😄 but worth it at sunset!! A really fun beach for bigger groups too!!!! Just remember to get you advanced license plate at your DMV so you have free access to the state park whenever.

Had a nice trip here with my mom and her friend. We had a little lunch at one of the many picnic areas before the beach, there are several that are impossibleto miss. Park ranger at gatehouse was nice and accommodating. Beach was great! Heads up that the first parking lot to the beach has a good size hill to go down to reach the beach, which means a hill to climb back out. Didn't bother us however it could definitely be a problem for some people. If you want a flat walk to the beach park at the third building and not the first. It's a great lakes beach so yeah there's rocks because glacial activity and such. However the rocks shouldn't be bothersome unless you're ill prepared; i.e. wear sandals or foot protection or tough it out if you can.

A beautiful park with both beaches and sandy dunes to explore and enjoy. My friends and I spent hours here dancing and singing on the beach, wading in the water, and climbing the dunes just enjoying the beautiful views. Definitely worth the visit if you are nearby.

Round Barn Winery & Estate, located at 10983 Hills Road in Baroda, Michigan, is a family-owned establishment celebrating its 20th anniversary. The property includes a craft brewery and distillery as well as a tasting room in Union Pier. The winery is set to move its production facilities to a new building next month and plans to open a pub-style restaurant next summer. Visitors have praised the warm hospitality and charming atmosphere at Round Barn Winery.
Round Barn was a festive and busy place when I dropped by, and it’s quite picturesque. The beer and sangria I tried were good, as was the loaded hummus. That being said, food prices were a bit high and the staff was pretty rushed, but the overall experience was fine. This place seems to be good for families and people with dogs, and I’d recommend it looking to enjoy the summer outdoors.

Visited on a Saturday around 11:30 AM. There was no entrance fee and there was live music. We sat near the food truck and yard games. There was wine, beer, tastings (4 for $15), wine slushies, and cocktails available, along with a hot dog, pretzel bites, and charcuterie board. The sweet wine tasting was very good. The atmosphere was relaxing and nice. The bathroom was clean. The gift shop had wine, apparel, and more.Strongly recommend.

Lovely place. Limited menu selections, but very friendly staff. I understand but wasn't crazy about everything in plastic, especially when bragging about some environmental certification in all gba as you drive in.We went at noon on a Friday, I imagine weekends are quite busy and loud.We used the trails to walk to their Tabor Hill winery. Nice trail but it could use some better signage along the route.

Beautiful place and wonderful vibes. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the wines. We tried 8 wines in 2 flights and none of them stood out. Pours were minuscule and also were “room temperature” at some 80 degree weather so I wasn’t feeling it. One picnic style self serve area and one table service area, the menus are the same. They have wines, beers, cocktails to choose from, also wine and beer flights. The food menu is a little boring, I must say I did not try any food so I don’t know if it’s any good. They had live music on Saturday and that was a great vibe. They have few yard games laying around, I also saw some booths to take for larger groups.

We had a great experience at around Barn winery. The igloos are confortable and let you enjoy the surroundings with your favorite wine from their winery. The food, sold at their food truck, is simple but good enough to complement the rest of the experience. The store has quality merchandise, perfect for gifts or souvenirs.Although marketed towards adults (it is a winery, after all), I would recommend the experience for people all ages.

Wasn’t expecting the Round Barn Winery to be such a happening place. It’s family friendly, which I thought was great since my daughter has a 6 week old baby and we were celebrating her 26th Birthday. They offer cabanas, but they need to be reserved. Live music that can be heard throughout the venue, bags or some may call it corn hole, wine flights and drinks. It’s also pet friendly.Bring your lawn chairs if you’d like, or a blanket, a football or frisbee and enjoy the free entertainment with your family or friends.I’m a wine drinker and what I didn’t like was that they didn’t have a “Wine Tasting” per say. You could buy a flight if 4 for $15.

We had a fabulous tasting experience! Appreciated the suggestions from the server, every sample was delicious from wine to bourbon to the blackberry gimblet, friendly staff, great atmosphere! We bought multiple bottles to bring home!

The St. Joseph North Pier Inner Lighthouse is a historic and iconic landmark in St. Joseph, Michigan, offering stunning views of Lake Michigan and the city. Built in 1907, it has served as a guiding light for ships entering the harbor for over a century. Connected to the main road by a pier, this lighthouse features an elevated catwalk that provides dramatic sunset views.
If you are in Saint Joe, this is a must do. It only cost a couple of bucks to park in the lot. The experience of seeing this lighthouse was really something. Also, walking along the beach with my feet in Lake Michigan on the sand was something I hadn’t done in decades. Boy did it feel great! And then be sure to also experience it at sunset. The simple things…

This was 9th year in a row I have gone here. Taken my grand daughter and my mom used to go but sadly can't now. We love it. Saw more crowds this year than when we have been there before. Always nice to walk out to light houses and the beach for sunset....can walk your dog along walkway as long as on leash.

A beautiful park along Lake Michigan in St. Joseph, MI. There are trails along the lake and to the pier on the south side of the channel, with the lighthouse to the north. There are volleyball courts, playground equipment, a food vendor in the summer and a beautiful outdoor amphitheater where events are held during warmer months. Here is a view from the park looking at Lake t.

Came here on a whim never been to the city before and decided to check out the beach. It did cost $15 to park. But for the amenities you get for this beach is awesome. The beach is incredibly long. Has a nice food area. Several areas to sit and eat that are higher up so you can see everyone on the beach lifeguard towers but no one was staffed but it wasn't a bad day so I'm not sure when they do get staffed. Overall really nice place for kids and for individuals just by themselves. We'll say the sand is a little loose, so when you're walking on it kind of sink down into it. But that's okay with me

We visited in September during an unseasonably hot day. There was plenty of parking, bathrooms had changing rooms. The concession stand wasn't open because the summer season was over. There was a lot of trash on the shoreline. Trash that was left behind from people as well as piles of muck from the water. I would imagine that it's better maintained during the summer season. It was fun to walk the pier and watch boats sail by.

My BFF and I went over just for the afternoon on a day trip. Was thoroughly impressed with how clean the beach was, that there were public changing rooms, lifeguards on duty and a noticeable police presence. The play area is right there on the beach so you can keep an eye on the littles, and you don't have to walk miles to get a snack, go to bathroom, or even get to your car! We will definitely be back!

The Silver Beach Carousel is a classic merry-go-round located near the beach in St. Joseph, offering a nostalgic experience for visitors of all ages. This indoor attraction features 44 hand-carved horses and plays music from a vintage band organ, dating back to 1910. It's conveniently situated just a short walk from The Boulevard Inn and remains open year-round for guests to enjoy. This place was an absolute a blast to visit! The carousel is 15 years old and all of the figures on the carousel are all hand painted and hand carved, it is absolutely beautiful work! My fiancé and i drove an hour and a half to see this and walk around St Joseph and stop at local shops and was definitely worth it!

The museum boasts an extensive collection of Studebaker cars, wagons, and carriages that offer a glimpse into America's past. Visitors can explore three floors filled with presidential carriages, vintage cars, and other historically significant objects dating back to the 1800s.
The special exhibit at the time was Station Wagons, loved all of them --"You think you hate it now; wait'll you drive it!"BONUS#1 : 1st floor near the gift store is a little garage and car on a lift with interactive maintenance like taking off bolts and replacing tires -- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED even for adults!BONUS#2 : along the hallway for the bathrooms, at the time there were a collection of photos and posters about the history of facial hair, the many different styles of mustaches and beards, and lastly of course the razor!

I really enjoyed my time at the museum. Set aside some time. There's plenty to see and do. Besides the Studebaker vehicles there is a section of doll houses, women's baseball, and area interest exhibits to walk through. All very interesting and worth looking at. The only drawback I saw was the $11 price tag. Seemed a bit high to me.There is a historic home just around the corner from the museum too.
Todd B — Google review
Having come from Dayton, OH, which is home to the Packard car museum, it was neat to see the other car company they merged with. Having always heard references to Studebaker's (but knowing very little about them) I was impressed with what a stand-up company they were; from being the first car company to offer its industrial might to the government to help during WWI to providing their employees some of the best wages post-WWII. There are alot of cars and history to absorb here! The only complaint I have is that some of the cars in the lower level (visible storage) are not that visible because they have them up on car lifts, which really only shows off a bit of the front and their underbelly. Overall, it's well worth a stop!!

Nice little museum that we got to go to on a Sunday. With the SJC library pass, you can see this and the history museum for free (up to 6 people) and we enjoyed it. I do wish there was a better way of an app or like an audio tape to play while we were walking around, the app was hard to work around, and I couldn't find where it did the walk through. Otherwise, we loved coming here and seeing all the cars and the history museum. I did think it was funny seeing some things in the history section that came from my childhood lol... starts to show my age LOL.

Nestled in the heart of South Bend, Notre Dame Stadium is a must-visit for any sports enthusiast. With a seating capacity exceeding 80,000, this iconic venue has been the backdrop for countless thrilling college football moments since its opening in 1930. Home to the legendary Fighting Irish team and many Heisman Trophy winners, it embodies the spirit of college athletics. Visitors can soak up the electric atmosphere during game days or explore its storied history through guided tours.
There is literally nothing that can describe going to the stadium. It is the most remarkable experience you’ll ever have an absolute must is to go to the quad prior to the game and take part in the most spectacular tradition you will ever experience in your lifetime. Highly recommended.

An iconic stadium that is a must visit for any sports fan. Located in the heart of the campus it provides an immersive college football experience. The stadium has wonderful flow and easy in and out via the concourse. The seating is extremely close quarters which is nice for a cold winter game but makes it directly to sit and there is little to no room for moving about to grab concessions. The shamrock pretzel is one of the better options in the stadium pretzel department. I can only assume it is locally made which gives it that edge.

I've only been to a few college stadiums and currently this one sits on top of the list. From all of the history on and around campus to the actual gold helmets and blank end zones, Notre Dame Stadium had it all. Another video board would be a plus, got tired of turning around to see replays. Overall, a great experience.

Notre Dame Stadium is more than just a place to watch football—it’s a legendary venue where history, tradition, and the Fighting Irish spirit come alive. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you can feel the weight of decades of iconic games, roaring fans, and unforgettable moments. The stadium perfectly captures the essence of Notre Dame while incorporating modern updates that enhance the experience without losing its historic charm. The recent additions to the stadium are truly remarkable. The enhanced video boards and sound system bring a new level of energy to game day, making it easier to follow the action and stay engaged, even from the farthest seats. The renovations have also improved the concourse areas, adding more space and better flow for fans. Gone are the days of feeling cramped—now you can grab a snack or drink and get back to your seat with ease.Speaking of snacks, the new food and beverage options are a game-changer. The stadium offers a variety of choices that cater to all tastes, from classic game-day favorites like hot dogs and popcorn to elevated options like gourmet nachos and local craft beer.Another standout feature is the addition of premium seating and hospitality spaces, such as the new club-level areas and rooftop terraces. These upgrades provide fans with luxurious options to enjoy the game in style while still being part of the electric atmosphere.Despite these modernizations, Notre Dame Stadium hasn’t lost its soul. The echoes of past victories, the sea of blue and gold, and the iconic “Play Like a Champion Today” sign remind you that this is more than just a football venue—it’s a shrine to one of the most storied programs in sports history.Whether you’re a die-hard Notre Dame fan or a first-time visitor, Notre Dame Stadium offers an unforgettable experience that blends tradition with innovation. It’s a bucket-list destination for any sports enthusiast!

The stadium was packed, and the excitement of the game was roaring. It's a place that we've been wanting to go to for a long time, and it took us eight hours to get to it. We were very disappointed with the ushers. We gave our seat information and were told to go up the steps. We got to our row and gave the seat info to the usher over there. He told us it was in another area below. We walked back down the flight of steps to the original usher, and he said no, it's where he told us originally. It was so frustrating that the ushers didn't know the seating. Calling lower upper and middle sections and them not being trained in what they're supposed to be helping us with. We were so displeased with it all that we left.

We did not stay at this hotel but we did come to Michigan for the purpose of going to this indoor water park. We were pleasantly surprised! It was clean, cheap, & just all around fun for my kids. They did have all of the towels in the dryer & we had to wait for those but aside from that I don't have any complaints! The lifeguard was a sweetheart along with the girl at the desk! Lots of space to sit upstairs to watch the kids from above. This hotel also has a little arcade down the hall from the water park. It was the perfect size for a hotel & equipped with claw machines! My favorite game ever. This is definitely worth the money. The girls working were just lovely & the hot tub was big with a little waterfall. 2 slides, one for inner tubes & one without. Then the little kids activity area with 2 small waterslides & fun activities. This area is only 9 inches deep so if you have little ones it'd be perfect. Kids do have to be 48 inches to go down one of the slides without a parent. The other slide they can be shorter but must wear a life vest which they provide! The deepest part of the pool & hot tub is 3ft 9 inches if I remember correctly. Worth the money!

Well,....I really wanted the place to meet expectations. Sadly, the best part was the waffles and breakfast spread. OMG, the water is super cold. It is extremely cold in the water park place. The slides cost an extra 20 dollars per person for a few hours. The facilities are in very poor shape. It's operating and functional, but walls are cracked, paint is dry rotting, chipped, soap dispensers are empty, ice machines on our floor were removed......I would not have chosen to go had I known. It was a learning experience. It's a strange situation going on there. If you do go ..... set your expectations as low as you can. Good luck. There is more, but I hate to beat a dead horse.

Went this past weekend for my granddaughters birthday and the water was super cold everyone was in the hot tub. So we had to go back to room. We paid for 2 rooms and 5 wristbands just to sit in rooms and not enjoy it. 😒 The kids did try however with the water being cold and the temperature in the waterpark itself left them blue lips and sheriving. Our room was clean, breakfast was good. Our toilet kept plugging up so we had to plug it multiple times. It would be a great place for little kids if the temperature was different so they could enjoy it. Over $300 to sit with 5 kids in hotel was not what I expected to do!!

We spent new years eve 2024 here. We had lots of fun! It does seems like they are getting some things switched around (I heard they are changing to a different hotel chain)Its smaller than some other waterpark, but we really enjoyed ourselves and it wasn't too busy.

We just had a very nice stay here. The whole place was clean. Water was clean and warm. The waterpark looked well kept and was fun. Breakfast was a very good spread. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone

We brought our 8 year here for her birthday. She had a blast. We did not stay at the hotel, only used the waterpark for the day. Has a kid area with a couple small slide. And they have 2 larger slides and a lazy river. They had a pool with basketball hoops that I enjoyed too. The hot tub was out of service on our trip. The life guards/ attendants were more interested in socializing with themselves but what do you expect with a group of unsupervised teenagers. Pools were relatively clean but the water was pretty cold.

I had a gift card gifted to me in December of 2023 which was valid through December 16, 2024. I tried to book my stay in the beginning of the year in 2024 and I was unsuccessful as it was closed for renovations. Fine. Skipped the summer months and called again today. Immediately I was transferred to a manager who stated my gift card would not be honored by the new ownership. Awful, terrible, customer service! Loss of $200. Not happy! Manager did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation!

Hiking Trails
Kal-Haven Trailhead is a picturesque 33.5-mile biking and walking trail that stretches from South Haven to Kalamazoo. The trail meanders through countryside, passing farmland, small towns, and a beautiful arbor of trees. It offers various access points near The Castle and features well-maintained paths with restrooms along the way. Cyclists should be mindful of numerous road crossings and watch out for chipmunk holes along the trail.
My husband and I recently biked the Kal-Haven Trail. We had spectacular weather, clear skies, some fall color here and there and it was a fantastic experience (October 8th+).The Kal-Haven Trail was closed for a couple of years while they restored and re-surfaced so there weren’t many recent reviews so we didn’t really know what to expect. What we got was one of the best rides we’ve experienced and we’ve bike-toured from San Francisco to Los Angeles along highway 1 among other great locales. We started on the Kalamazoo end and kicked it off with a big meal at Latitude 42 Degrees Brewery which was close to the trailhead. For two peeps who are not currently conditioned for super long strenuous rides, the trail is a doable 33.5 miles each way. The surface was mostly packed flat dirt and crushed gravel. For sure, there were some slight inclines and thankfully we were with the wind on the way back. Definitely check wind speeds before your ride.We both have steel cyclocross bikes (Bianchi Volpe for me and a Surly Cross-check for him) and packed lightly since we weren’t camping. This made the ride comfortable and pretty easy. We had what we needed in panniers. Perfect for two nights in a motel in South Haven.Along the trail there were plenty of pit toilets, benches, picnic tables and all the little towns (few and far between) had little signs pointing to where you could go for cold drinks, sandwiches, etc. We loved stopping at some quiet picnic tables along the route. The most magical was in the middle of cornfields with two potted mint plants from which you could pick and add to your freshly drawn water from the pump. Nothing here but wind and us and our bikes. So nice. The trail was very sparsely populated on our westward journey which was a Wednesday with many more people on our return on a Friday - but still pretty sparse. I would imagine it’s much more populated on a weekend.Staying in town in South Haven would have been ideal, but even in the off-season it was pricey for our budget so we stayed at the Sun N Sand Resort which was an 8-10 minute ride to town. Doesn’t sound like much until you arrive close to dark and realize you can't ride to town first for provisions. We panicked a little, but the front desk had some cold alcoholic beverages we could buy and we were able to order a pizza from town delivered to our room. The shower was hot, the room was clean and bright, the beds comfortable and the grounds were lovely. We got a double room and were able to fit the two bikes inside, but could easily have used a cable lock to lock them to the railing outside the room without worrying about getting them stolen. A swing by the pond to watch the sunset and a walking path through the woods was really great.Riding to town was a cinch once we discovered the water route and it was fun to look at all the amazing lakefront summer homes along the way. Great big lunch at Clementines and the town was super sweet to walk around, I had a great ice cream at Kilwin’s and picked up a dark chocolate giant peanut butter cup for the ride back the next day.We also had a great visit at the Michigan Maritime Museum (totally worth the visit). From there we biked three minutes to the north beach and rode to the end of the pier. We picked up burritos and chips at Los Ranchos on our way back to the resort and heated them up later in the room (microwave and refrigerator!) for dinner. On the way out of town we stopped at Six Chicks Scratch Kitchen which had the one of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. I had the farmer’s hash and we split a cinnamon roll which was also fantastic. Service may be slow so keep that in mind if you need to get on the trail.I would highly, highly recommend this ride! Overall because we stopped a lot and just enjoyed the scenery it took us about five hours each way. I’m sure if you wanted to you could do it in 3-4 hours, but we were in it for the leisure and scenery. It was really wonderful to take it slow.BTW - if you’re looking for the covered bridge, sadly it was taken down.

This seems to be primarily a bike trail, but we enjoyed a nice walk here. The trail is flat and easy to walk on and a lovely spot to see some fall leaves without the crowds of other locations. There weren't any paper maps available, which, I suppose is fine because it's a straight path. There is a port a potty available but bring hand sanitizer as there's no hand wash station. I also don't recall seeing any available potable water, so bring your own!
Andrea S — Google review
A very nice wide gravel trail that you can take for as long as you like. It's scenic along the river. Likely great for biking. One disappointment is that the covered bridge was demolished in summer 2023. In It's place is a nice new steel bridge, but the charm is long gone.

I came from out of town to do the wooden board walk along the black river. It was closed. There is plenty of benches and areas to rest/fish at along route. The trail goes further on but I only went until the second underpassing and turned around slightly disappointed.I’ll try again maybe next year.
RudeMornings — Google review
Went there because the boardwalk looked cool. Turns out it's closed. We decided to go on it anyway and it's in complete disarray..overgrown weeds and rotting/missing boards. The trail is otherwise a bit boring and not very shaded.
A S — Google review
It was a great day for this trail. Everything here is great with the exception of one thing. You can see I'm the photos were the wooden path on the water is rotting and deteriorating, which is hazard for small children and heavy adults. One of the items that really stood out is the two fire pits asking the trail. It's a great place to stop for a break.

The Saugatuck Dune Rides is a popular tourist attraction in Saugatuck, operating since the 1950s. Its rugged off-road trails offer visitors great views of lakeshore dunes, trees and grasses. The drivers are knowledgeable and provide interesting historical facts about the area during their tours. The ride lasts around 45 minutes but seems to go by quickly due to its fun nature.
The dune ride was an absolute blast! It was so much fun and full of thrilling moments, plus the views were absolutely stunning. It's such a unique experience that you can't find anywhere else, and it was definitely worth the money. The combination of excitement and breathtaking scenery made for an unforgettable adventure. I highly recommend this dune ride if you're looking for something fun and different to do!

Our driver, Austin, was wonderful! Lots of good history & plenty of corny jokes. The history of the area was so cool & it is so beautiful. There is quick stop at the top of the dunes which was unexpected. He took a picture of our group & gave us suggestions for the area. The ride itself was thrilling - not what you expect but in a good way! Highly recommend doing this activity for your weekend, very family friendly. Tickets sell out in advance so reserve online early & sign your waivers too!!

It's wasn't exactly what I was expecting but More. Our guide Paul was funny and helped out with pics of us at the highest Dune. Once you hear the stories of how they stopped the dunes from moving so fast it will make more sense why they look the way they do, and the story of the buried ghost town was very interesting. The drive in our Modified truck was so fun. I recomend if in the area as a must do. Thank You for the fun and stories.

Staff was super courteous and knowledgeable about the wines. Great place to spend the afternoon. We overnighted via Harvest Hosts in 40' class A towing our grand cherokee, plenty of space to maneuver! Even picked some fresh chestnuts

Excellent pricing and broad wine selection complemented by a burnished wooden aesthetic. Only their Mountain Dew selection proved lacking - offering little more than original flavor when Bajablast or Code Red would round out any selection.

We came here for my sister’s bachelorette trip this weekend. We had the most amazing time. The private tasting room was decorated beautifully for the bride-to-be and wedding party. The attention to detail was well-appreciated. The charcuterie was delicious. We had the pleasure of having Deb as our party server. She was very friendly and made our experience even better. After our tasting, we bought a couple bottles to enjoy outside with live music and to take pictures. This was the highlight of our weekend. We would definitely come back!

Holland State Park - Macatawa Campground offers a picturesque beachfront setting with paved bike trails, sunset views, and convenient concessions. Visitors can explore the iconic Big Red lighthouse and indulge in dining experiences at nearby Saugatuck. The campground provides spacious sites with amenities like fire rings and picnic tables, along with modern restroom and shower facilities. While the lighthouse may be small, the stunning sandy beach, snack shack offerings, and expansive parking make it a worthwhile visit.
First time I've been here and would definitely stay here again. I tent camped with my daughter for two nights. Felt the sites were a good size. Some reviews state that the sites are close together, which is true. We had our own space, but if you are looking for a private and quiet area away from people, this probably isn't the place for you.For us it was nice as there were plenty of families there when we stayed here, so my daughter was able to make friends and hang out with other kids. There is a small beach on Lake Macatawa right outside the entrance to the campground, which is nice if you want a quick swim or to avoid a bigger crowds down at the main beach. The main beach is just up the road about a mile and is easy to get to, even if you would bike down there.Bathrooms and showers were clean. Camp sites were clean and never saw any garbage from those who were camping there. There was even a strong storm system that moved through one morning we were there and still didn't see anything that blew around. There is a great shop just up the street you can walk to if you need anything. They have some fantastic ice cream there as well!

Advice: Looking at a map, you don't see that the ocean loop is an asphalt parking lot. You can't see the ocean from this asphalt jungle anyway. The better area is the lake side. Particularly the north end of the lake side. My 2 cents

Beautiful beach, nice bathrooms/shower facilities. The lighthouse is cute, they have a small pier you can walk on. They have walkways out to the water that make it easier for families with strollers or someone who walks with a cane, walker, or possibly a wheel chair. Nice volleyball nets on the beach. Can be very busy but there is a a lot of parking and lots of beach space!
Julie B — Google review
Not a great state park. Location is the best part. The sites are tiny and on top of each other. No privacy. It's super crowded. No full hookups, only electric. All dirt and sand, and not level. 200 sites and only two bathrooms, with 3 toilets each, means a waiting line EVERY time. Lots of kids, so the bathrooms are filthy. Although they do clean twice a day. The fairgrounds and an RV park down the road are better choices.
Christopher D — Google review
Great park and bike trails. Beach is awesome for sunsets too. Lady host camper is rude, just avoid her and you'll be fine
Beverly C — Google review
So the shop is super cute, but the bathrooms need a major change. Not nearly enough toilets and the changing stalls have zero privacy, no curtains or doors or anything 🙄 so they are just wasted space since no one ever uses them. The beach is great tho. The trails that bring you to the water could be longer though, it only gets you about half way. And if you are trying to get to the pier, the concrete has crumbled away and you have to climb down the broken concrete chunks to the sand and then climb up to the pier, so very much not wheelchair friendly. Great views and fishing once you are up there tho! Also, dogs are not allowed on the sand, so keep that in mind if you have a fur baby. Day passes are 20$ if you don't have the parks and recreation tag on your license plate

Amazing camp site, just beware the sites are super narrow and you could be waiting to pull in or out as people attempt to get within their site. Bathrooms/showers are mostly clean. Can’t beat the beach side view and being able to walk right onto the pier from site. My nephews caught some fish at night after most had left. Beware 4th of July is a teenage hang out on beach, luckily they had the site fenced off. It was entertaining, but wouldn’t want to be there again on that day.

The beaches and pier are beautiful. Rv spots can be tight for bigger rigs we noticed. We parked our Rv (30ft) and jeep just fine with plenty of room for chairs etc. The bathrooms are big but the water isn’t hot. Not saying any of these things are bad just sharing for others incase they are an issue for someone coming to stay. Dogs are allowed on beach only at certain times of the year on leash of course. Downtown is cute and the whole town has a great vibe. I’m sure it gets crazy in summer but end of sept/start of October is perfect.

Before I stayed at Grand Haven SP campground, I didn’t have high expectations. From the satellite view, the campground looks like a parking lot and sand. And it is.But it’s awesomely convenient to have your camper that close to the beach. And the campground has exclusive access to its own section of the beach. The aisles are wide, which is helpful for backing in a rig or trailer. The GH South Pier is next to the campground, offers an opportunity for a leisurely stroll or jog, and it’s open/lit 24 hours (unlike Holland SP…boo). Bathrooms/showers are adequate, and there’s a park store in the nearby day-use area.No ground fires allowed; you need to bring your own fire pit.Downtown is a short 10-minute bike ride, and there’s boardwalk or sidewalk to whole way. Bars/breweries/restaurants, ice cream, nightly musical fountain show, free cornhole.

Great campground..very nice bathhouse and great views..only downfalls are very tight spots so if your not very good at parking your rig you may want to go elsewhere and lots of non campers from the beach walking through the park. We had a group of teens around 11:00pm on are lot attempting to steal are 3 electric scooters , didn’t end well for them but now we run a cable lock through everything of value for piece of mind. We will be back!

Such a pretty place to visit. My first time to Grand Haven, and Michigan! Had a great time. Beautiful area. Wonderful little shops to get some souvenirs. Pretty cool that this place exists and the events they host. With the new amphitheatre on the front, the marina and pier, these fountains and the fireworks display make this area one of the best to be in the entire state of Michigan.

This was my first year seeing this extraordinary display of water, lights, and music! The fireworks were exceptionally the best I've ever seen, ever. And I've seen my fair share over the years. I’ve gotten spoiled on st Julian wine!! It’s got such a wonderful flavor, one that’s all its own! I’ve been in many times over the years. I recently stopped in with my MIL, SIL & toddler daughter for a festive beverage. We had a really nice time! However, I do have one suggestion… high chairs. When we asked our server if they had a highchair she almost acted as if that was the first time someone has asked for one and just for reference we were not the only ones there with a small child in tow. I understand that it is primarily an adult establishment but there will be times when children come in. Having a few high chairs available will make everyone’s experience more enjoyable. ;-) Regardless, we will be back as we live locally and enjoy what St. Julian’s has to offer!

They'll actually let you taste offerings they don't even have in stock but won't tell you in advance so you waste your tasting looking for something not on the shelf. Dumb as hell. Didn't offer another taste to make up for it. I chose one spirit and wasted it. Completely stupid. Won't be back. Was about to buy multiple bottles for corporate gifts. They thought it was funny. Wonder how funny the owners think it is.UPDATE: Owners offered 25% off and I still don't care to buy from them. Don't offer tastes of drinks you don't have to sell. That's universally stupid. I don't want steered to something else. No one sells stuff they don't have. I can't believe this is hard to grasp. "Wanna try something you can't buy?" is Fortune 50 mantra all day. Not. You know why I don't care to buy? Because I was legit upset about this and opening the door for resolution in the store but they. Thought. It. Was. Funny. So you put a dumb model out there that frustrates potential customers and then your staff thinks it's funny. Ha. Ha. Ha. Sooooo funny. They could be free and I don't care. Get your crew together. I legit was going to buy 30 bottles then and there. I support small businesses. But I can't support yours.

Waited for about 10 minutes for someone to ring me up. Everyone was more interested in drinking and talking so I finally just walked out. I guess I'll be canceling my wine club membership and shopping elsewhere. Nope

We just love coming to this location and Peter was the absolute best! We always have the best time and they are always putting out new things. The cocktails were delicious, especially the Banana Cream Pie (with secret recipe banana extract made by Peter) and the Dark and Stormy. Yum!

Windmill Island Gardens is a seasonal park in Holland, featuring stunning tulip gardens and a 250-year-old windmill called "De Zwaan." The park offers guided tours of the windmill and manicured gardens, with Dutch-costumed guides providing an authentic experience. Visitors can also enjoy attractions such as a hand-painted Dutch carousel, children's playground, picnic areas, and gift shops. The 36-acre site includes canals, dikes, and picturesque landscapes.
Sincerely thought I posted a review for this place already. Super cute! Very touristy. The windmill was transported from legit Holland. The photos really say it all. It's not expensive to get in unless you are paying for a while group. I think it was like $15 a person, but I can't remember exactly. Great for a touristy walk, and some cute photos.

Beautiful grounds with plenty of walking paths for leisurely strolls. We were able to tour the windmill which was beautiful. There is a small museum and a few shops as well as a children's playground to explore. There are limited food options so we had to explore the nearby town to find something to eat.

A local gem!! A must-see If you are visiting Holland! There's an authentic mill from the Netherlands along with an original organ, artwork and so much more! They also have an amazing gift shop! Lots of cheeses to sample!!

An enjoyable stop on our way home from vacation. I'm glad we stopped! The grounds were beautiful with flowers in full bloom. Each staff member we met was very friendly and informative. And to top it off, the windmill was an amazing piece of ingenuity.

What a fantastic garden and windmill. The windmill was purchased and shipped over from the Netherlands, so it's the real deal, and the knowledgeable staff are clearly proud that Holland calls it home. The garden was gorgeous in bloom, and I loved the emphasis on pollinators. There are plenty of great spots for photos. It's a fantastic place for a lovely stroll.

Windmill Island Gardens is a beautiful spot with a charming Dutch windmill, colorful flowers, and peaceful gardens. It’s a great place for a relaxing walk and taking lovely photos. If you're a member of certain other gardens, you might enjoy free admission. There's plenty of parking, picnic tables for a relaxing meal, and a delightful carousel that children will love.

Such a beautiful day to visit. Visited October 12, I would love to come back when the tulips are bloomed but still the garden was maintained.Perfect place to go for a stroll around. Inside of Windmill was interesting and good experience for going up.

We visited after tulip season but before memorial Day and it was lovely. No tulips out, but still plenty of pretty plants and no crowds to connect with. Great family experience - we have a toddler and older teen and they both enjoyed it. Prices were very reasonable. Lots of great picture opportunities.

Nelis' Dutch Village is a beloved attraction in Holland, Michigan that offers an immersive experience of Dutch culture for the entire family. The village features fully costumed staff dedicated to showcasing Dutch traditions, including wooden shoe making, cheese production, and traditional dancing. Visitors can also enjoy activities such as making their own Dutch Stroopwafel cookies and exploring the petting zoo. Additionally, the village boasts a small theme park with a Ferris wheel and opportunities to taste local beers.
My husband and I had seen Holland, Michigan and the Dutch Village on social media, so we did some research. It looked like a really interesting place. We took my parents and 2-year-old. It was awesome for the price of the tickets. There were a number of different opportunities for kids to drive tractors or other little attractions. There was also a small Ferris wheel, carousel, swings, and a petting zoo. My daughter loved it. Overall, a great experience, especially with kids!

This little village was cute, had a great gift shop, food and activities for small children. The rides are dated and meant for children but it was all part of the experience. We rode the swings, ferris wheel and carousel and everyone had a good time! We petted some cute animals at the barn area and overall it was fun! The place is so cute and plenty of opportunities for photos!

This place was such a cute and fun cloudy day activity to do with kids! Ages ranged from 5 to 65 in our group, and everyone loved it! We did cheese tasting, stroopwaffel making, rode so many rides, tried on wooden shoes, and had an amazing time! We were there from open at 10 until a little over an hour before close at 7(we did leave to go get lunch and swim, returning is free). We recommend this to anyone!!

We visited 2 years ago and def see a huge improvement in all the buildings and overall park. There’s more fun things for the kids to do!We loved the petting farm specially the chickens🫶🏻.You have to try the freshly made Wafers next to the fudge store. We appreciate all the costumes, the dancing show and all the hard work from each and every person that works here.Coming to this place has become a tradition now!

Totally worth every penny and more. All of the activities are included with learning sessions. My family had a great time. Fun for kids and adults.

Fun little place. Interesting selection of merchandise and food products to browse and purchase. Cool that they do demos of things like cheese making and wooden shoe making and traditional dance, etc.Entrance fee is a bit high based on the available activities that are included once inside, but nothing crazy. Worth a stop to check it out with the family. Looks like they are adding some new attractions as well including axe throwing.

This was such a fun little experience. There were a lot of cute little shops, opportunities to learn about the culture, fun foods (definitely hit up the cheese store! Theres a variety of cheeses to try any buy!) and a ton of photo ops! A few rides for the kids and the petting zoo was so adorable!!! There was also a discount for ordering tickets online so we did that from the parking lot!
Tami P — Google review
Fun experience! Only place we could find with parking for Tulip Time. Tried to go to Windmill island gardens twice this same day, but the lot was full both times. We enjoyed the tulips and decorations. There were free cheese samples out at the cheese store. There are several rides that adults can ride, but it looked like they were mostly for kids. The petting zoo was fun. Animal food cones were a $1. We enjoyed the Dutch dancing. Staff were friendly. Would recommend.

Shopping
Nestled just west of Grand Rapids in Grandville, RiverTown Crossings is a vibrant shopping destination that has become a staple for both locals and visitors alike since its opening in 1999. This bustling mall boasts over 115 shops and restaurants, featuring well-known anchor stores like Kohl's, Macy's, JCPenney, and Dick's Sporting Goods.
RiverTown Crossings is clearly a lot more than a bunch of stores and restaurants to a lot of people. Arrived around an hour before the noon official daily opening on a January Sunday. Already the mall had hundreds of visitors, many older mall walkers and families with young children. Impressed with how many stores were occupied plus all the other ways to engage visitors, such as video games, kiosks, and other entertainment. Dog friendly approach a plus, with all dogs we saw very well behaved. In contrast to other reviews, noting the carousel was working and only 1 escalator was being serviced. Plenty of parking and many out buildings with additional shopping opportunities. Surely the mall is showing some stresses reflecting changes in shopping over 25 years, but still a community asset.

I use to enjoy coming here with my kids and spending the day. The shops, food court and bathrooms were all kept clean, now the eating area at the food court and bathrooms look like nothing is being done on a consistent basis. I don’t know who or what company is in charge of this but it definitely should be one the top priorities for hygienic reasons.
Jody H — Google review
Had a great time visiting all the stores. I really like the variety of stuff that they have.
Enrique G — Google review
Looking at other reviews, most people aren’t reviewing the entire mall experience. This mall used to be really nice. On the inside it is mostly fine. Escalator not working. Carousel doesn’t run. Tables in the food court are not cleaned often. Plan on cleaning your own tables and you’ll need a scraper to get some stuff off of them. Lots of empty store space. Outside is filthy and neglected, with trash everywhere and landscaping is dead trees and unkept shrubbery. Potholes and storage pods. Property owners obviously don’t even care anymore, since this end of the mall has looked like this for a very long time. So if you NEED to shop at a mall store, it’s a mall.
Jason ( — Google review
This mall has 2 stories and a full food court. All storefronts still occupied and open. New tenants took over Younkers and transformed it into a Soar and Bounce that makes me wish I was 8 again. Lots of activities for both young and old. GIANT chess and connect 4 here as well as a treehouse play space for young children. Barnes and Noble in mall with Starbucks in case the mall is not your scene and you need to sit and chill. Several entrances and lots of parking available.
Carrie S — Google review
There are no benches. My husband had an asthma attack and wanted to sit while our kids finished shopping. There was no where for him to sit, rest, and catch his breath. We ended up leaving much sooner than planned. I cannot recommend shopping here for anyone with any kind of disability.
E K — Google review
Malls are pretty dead these days, but this one is not bad. I wouldn't say thriving, but there is still a good variety of open stores, and it has busy times. Great mall for entertaining kids, but can get pricey if you're not careful.
J B — Google review
It's sad to see the condition of this mall. It was a beautiful building when it was new but it seems like regular maintenance has been ignored. There are several escalators that were out of order, very obvious building defects and several stores who don't even sweep the floors. The exterior of the building doesn't show any upkeep and most of the exterior needs to be painted. The parking lot is like playing a game of dodging pot holes big enough to swallow a small car. I hope the money is spent to make this place what it used to be

Thank you Belinda, and all of gun lake staff! I’m a traveling construction manager from New York and had the privilege of spending the last year in the Grand Rapids area. Gun Lake Casino was the most accommodating casino I’ve ever been to. Your staff were always welcoming with good spirits and genuine smiles. The layout of the casino floor was very easy to navigate. After just a few visits I started receiving my complimentary flyer for rewards. I must say your casino is the most generous of at least close to a dozen I’ve visited in the New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts area. The weekly gifts were a pleasant surprise, and the quality of the merchandise is top notch. The food was amazing, from the buffet to a grab and go from the bar. All around the casino and staff at Gun Lake will always be special to me. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait to visit again!SincerelyJeff Bender

Great place for 'all you can eat' crab legs. Not many Michigan casinos have buffets since covid. We usually visit on our way to Chicago. It takes an extra 15-20 minutes with the Gun Lake detour. They have not opened the hotel yet.

Everything is nice I go there often. Food is good. Staff is always great. My experience with the new bar at the east end the first time was poor. The second time was awful. It creates an awkward feeling almost like they don’t want you there? The lounge directly across from the bar is too small, and confusing, considering they spent like a year designing something that is just a 70s retro look. It’s like they just googled a picture and decided on it. No thought to function or artistic design.

A gentleman by the name of Will , he very kind and helpful. We walked in my first trip here in 6 years . Will was welcoming and helpful with my questions. I ran across Will at different spots in the casino he is friendly. I had a great experience, also I walked away with more than I came in with. Very fun night.

As far as gambling it's great. Set your limit and stick to it I love playing slots and a little roulette too. Have not had dinner nor stayed over night but it's clean not very loud and they have an indoor smoking room.
Bart P — Google review
The casino is clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and visible. As far as the gambling goes, I feel like other casinos in West Michigan have better odds. Most times when we are here, you see very little winning and people hopping from machine to machine. Overall a nice place to visit from time to time.
