It’s Summertime at CCJPL, and everyone knows that Adventure begins at YOUR Library! If you’re feeling adventurous, or simply looking to have some fun, we’ve got plenty of programs for Teens (Finished Grades 7th-12th) and Tweens (Finished Grades 4th-6th) to explore this June and July!
The Teen Program Lineup is as follows:
JUNE 2024
TeenHub Summer Kickoff Party – Join us for video gaming and snacks and tabletop fun! Don’t forget to sign up for the Teen Summer Reading Challenge for a chance to win prizes too! (June 12th, 4 - 5pm)
The Red Carpet Teen Dance – Get ready for your close-up! It’s time to walk the red carpet at CCJPL’s 2024 Teen Dance! Wear your best red carpet look and join us for music, refreshments, a photo booth, and tons of fun! (June 14th, 7 - 9pm)
Book-Binding + Junk Journals – Every adventurer needs a journal to draft and draw their own exciting tales. Customize your own “Junk Journal” page-by-page! (June 21st, 10 am - 12pm)
Friday Night Magic – Teens are invited to an afternoon of trading card gaming – it’s Friday Night Magic! (June 21st, 4 - 5:30pm)
Watch Your Language! – Teens can join us for a trivia-packed Game Show about world languages and etymology fun facts. Compete against your friends to see who’ll reign victorious! (June 26th, 4 - 5pm)
Teen Tabletop Club – All teens are welcome to join in for some Tabletop RPG fun in a one-shot campaign led by Charlie Potter! (June 29th, 12:30 - 4pm)
JULY 2024
Join the Party: RPG Gaming – Join the party and set out on an RPG Adventure! Featuring everything from classic video games, to tabletop and beyond! (July 3rd 4 - 5pm)
Intro to Stage Combat: A Hands-On Workshop – Teens can learn the basics of Stage Combat with special guests Bill Lucas & Brianna Larson, courtesy of the AState Theater Department. (July 10th, 10 - 11am)
Foam Party on the Lawn – Teens and tweens can join us at 5pm on the Madison Lawn for a bubbly outdoor foam party to cap off CCJPL's summer events! Be sure to bring a towel and wear clothes ok to get wet! (July 17th, 5 - 6pm)
Friday Night Magic –Teens are invited to an afternoon of trading card gaming – it’s Friday Night Magic! (July 19th, 4 - 5:30pm)
Choose Your Own Adventure: Create Virtual Escape Rooms – Teens can make their own visual novel-style virtual escape room games to share and play using Google Forms! (July 24th, 3 - 5pm)
Teen Tabletop Club – All teens are welcome to join in for some Tabletop RPG fun in a one-shot campaign led by Charlie Potter! (July 27th, 12:30 - 4pm)

Adventure’s In the Pages: Comic Workshop – Join us for a comic workshop to write, draw, and design your own comics down to the last detail – adventure awaits! (June 18th, 4 - 5pm)
Beat the Heat: Indoor Snowball Battle & DIY Ice Cream – Stay frosty this Summer at our Tweens-Only Indoor Snowball Battle! And stick around for Shake-&-Make DIY Ice Cream! (June 25th, 4 - 5pm)
JULY 2024
Shipwrecked Scavenger Hunt – Ahoy Landlubbers! You’ve been shipwrecked on a deserted island, once home to famous pirates! There’s a scavenger hunt afoot and plenty of indoor pirate fun and games! (July 2nd, 2 - 4pm)
Cryptid Creature Crafts – Keep an eye out for Bigfoot, Nessie, Chupacabra and more as we craft, inspired by mythical creatures galore! (July 9th, 4 - 5pm)
Mystery of the Cryptic Codex: An Escape Room Adventure – Unlock the Ancient Gate, crack its mysterious codes and puzzles, and save the treasure from the sinister Sky Scavengers who want to steal it and make a fortune! (July 16th, 3 - 5pm)
