Bloggers I'm Appreciating This Month: 4 Articles To Build Your Passive Income Streams - Dividend Income Investor (2024)

Four bloggers I’ve been following recently decided to call it quits: Apathy Ends, Dividend Daze, Camp Fire Finance (although the site was sold and will be run by someone else), and another I can’t seem to remember.

I mean, I get it. Life gets in the way. There have been times I’ve even wondered about continuing. But I’ve blogged for long enough now that I’m committed, so I don’t plan on ever stopping.

At the very least, I want to document the dividend income updates for as long as possible. Plus without blogging, I’m not sure I’d have an excuse to think of myself as creative. Blogging has become a creative outlet that ties into my identity. I’m scared of drifting off and feeling like an average nobody after all my talk.

As such, I decided to put together a monthly collection of knowledge on blogging and investing to appreciate bloggers I learn from. I call it “Bloggers I’m Appreciating This Month.”

Here are 4 Bloggers I’m appreciating this month:

The Road To A $100/Month Blog – Making Money Through Blogging – This Online World

This Online World is quickly becoming one of my favourite blogs to learn about blogging and making money online.

The writer behind This Online World, Tom, has been able to grow his online income to over $2,200 in 2019 alone! And he’s only been blogging since January 2018.

Overall, the blog is focussed on making money online and building passive income streams, saving money, and how to integrate technology and the power of the internet in your life for the better.

You can check out This Online World’s most recent post: The Road To A $100/Month Blog – Making Money Through Blogging here.

My Online Income Journey: From $0 to $3k/Per Month and Beyond – Four Pillar Freedom

Notice a common theme in this month’s articles yet? There is serious potential to earn income from blogging!

Zach from Four Pillar Freedom is another great example how profitable blogging can be.

In just a few short years, Zach has been able to grow his online business to over 3k per month!

He recently quit his job to pursue his passion full-time.

I’ve been following his blog for a few years now—Zach’s commitment and hard work stand out. He consistently published a new blog post every other day for years. It’s nice to see his hard work paying off.

Read about his online income journey to $3k per month here.

Why I’ll Always Regret Selling My Online Business For Millions Of Dollars – Financial Samurai

Sticking to the online business theme, this feature comes from Financial Samurai, which is one of the most successful finance blogs in the industry.

I found this guest post on Financial Samurai to be of particular interest, probably because the author was able to sell his site for 2.8 million!

But even with that payoff, the post is about how the author is still unhappy that the site was ever sold at all.

As I alluded to above, I can definitely see how not having my blog would lead to a temporary loss of identity.

Anyways, it’s a fantastic read. Check out the guest post here.

Monthly Dividend Income (Aug 2019) – Engineering Dividends

Of course, I have to include at least one dividend income update as a feature.

Dividend investing is my main investment strategy after all.

This month I decided to feature Engineering Dividends, one of my favourite dividend blogs in the game.

The author of this blog has built up an amazing cash flow machine, and is very detailed with the reports.

If you’re interested in dividend growth investing, I would highly recommend checking out ED’s most recent dividend income update here.

Concluding Thoughts – Bloggers I’m Appreciating

I’ll admit that I was a bit shocked to hear that 4 of the bloggers I follow were calling it quits. Especially Apathy Ends and Dividend Daze, because I wrote my first guest post for AE, and since DD was a frequent commenter and his portfolio was slightly ahead of mine. I always looked to DD to imagine where my portfolio could be in a few years.

Anyways, I understand that interests can change (you have no idea lol).

On the bright side, though, this has led to an appreciation for bloggers and the determination it takes to make it to the next level. These bloggers I’m appreciating are the proof that blogging and investing is about consistency.

In conclusion, the 4 articles above are the bloggers I’m appreciating this month. I hope you were able to learn more about building passive income streams.
