MB Games, also known as the Milton Bradley Company, was a prominent American board game manufacturer and publisher. The company was founded by Milton Bradley (November 8, 1836 - May 30, 1911) in 1860 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Initially, the company produced lithographed paperboard games, but over the years, it expanded its product range to include a variety of toys and games. In 1920, it absorbed the game production of McLoughlin Brothers, formerly the largest game manufacturer in the United States. Some notable games and products produced by MB Games include: The Game of Life, originally created by Milton Bradley in 1860, stands as one of the company's most iconic and enduring games, offering players a simulation of life's journey from college to retirement. In this game, players make decisions that impact their fictional life path. Candy Land, designed for young children, is a classic and often serves as an introduction to board games for kids with its simple and colorful gameplay. Connect Four, a two-player connection game, involves players choosing a color and strategically dropping colored discs into a vertically suspended grid, aiming to connect four of their own discs in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Milton Bradley popularized Battleship in the 1960s, originally a pencil-and-paper game known as "Broadsides, the Game of Naval Strategy." In Battleship, players take turns calling out coordinates to locate and sink their opponent's fleet.
Selchow and Righter
In 1987 the firm purchased Selchow and Righter, makers of well-known games including Parcheesi and Scrabble.
Milton Bradley was taken over by Hasbro, Inc., in 1984. Now wholly owned by Hasbro, it was still used as one of Hasbro's brands, similar to the manner in which Parker Brothers is one of Hasbro's brands. It was a board game and sometimes video game publisher. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Milton Bradley marketed a series of games in North America that were developed in the United Kingdom by Games Workshop (GW) that drew heavily from GW's Warhammer Fantasy universe, albeit without explicit reference to the Warhammer product line.
James J. Shea was the board chairman of the Milton Bradley Company who rescued the company from going into bankruptcy.

Is Milton Bradley still in business?
If you're looking for the official Milton Bradley company website, I have to disappoint you. Milton Bradley merged with Parker Brothers in 1998 to form Hasbro Games, and in 2009, Hasbro dropped the brands Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley in favor of the parent company's name.

I am looking for the age and value of a Picture and Word Matching game I have. It's in a navy blue box. Printed at the top is Self Verifying Seat Work. The bottom says Milton Bradley Company, Springfield, Massachusetts. The # 8036 is in the lower left corner of the lid as well. The dimensions of the box are 7 x 4 3/4".
I'm so sorry but I can't find anything on a MB game 'Picture and Word Matching'.

I grew up with your games. I was thinking, if each piece of the Operation game made a different sound such as laughter for the funny bone?
What a great idea! Too bad I'm not affiliated with Milton Bradley...
