WAYNE, PA—A Mummers brigade is going to the unlikeliest places on Sunday, Jan. 14: a quiet street on the Main Line, to the Wayne home of Vanguard CEO Tim Buckley. Why?
As part of the Vanguard S.O.S. campaign, members of the Vaudevillains New Year's Brigade will dance in the street in their flamboyant Mummers' costumes as a playful protest of Vanguard's record-topping investments in the fossil fuels driving climate change, the Earth Quaker Action Team announced Friday.
Earth Quaker is a Quaker team grassroots team fighting for a sustainable economy. The group focuses on convincing Vanguard to stop investing in fossil fuels and has held several protests in the last two years.

Protest participants said that are bringing the parade to him, as a reminder that he considers Vanguard's influence as the world's largest investor in fossil fuels as he's preparing for that webinar.
The parade will begin at the St. David's train station on Chamounix Road in Wayne, and continue to Buckley's house.
Vanguard said its economists have been researching the impact of climate change for decades. Vanguard’s reports on climate change are available here.
